Federation Hardship Membership Program Serves Hundreds Annually

The United States Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan Federation® seeks to enrich the life of every person that its members, Certified Instructors and Certified Schools connect to the Korean art of Soo Bahk Do® as expressed in the Federation's Chartered purposes.

"CHARTER ARTICLE I SECTION 2
The purposes of this Federation shall be:

A. To undertake any and all legal activities which will directly or indirectly further and encourage the study, the practice, and the growth of public recognition of the Korean martial art known as Soo Bahk Do® Moo Duk Kwan®, formerly known as Tang Soo Do Moo Duk Kwan®.

..."

Additionally, the Federation operates as a 501(c)(4)  non-profit organization about which the IRS code states:

"To establish that your organization is organized exclusively for the promotion of social welfare, your organization must operate primarily in a way that furthers the common good and general welfare of the people of the community (such as bringing about civic betterment and social improvements in some way)."

The Federation's hardship program provides economic assistance to hundreds of people each year so they can enjoy the study and practice of Soo Bahk Do®.

Federation members support this generous outreach initiative through their membership dues, event participation, product purchases, donations and more.

The Federation also supports students in Certified Schools who are on special tuition programs at their school.

For example, if a Certified School provides a student with a 50% discount on school tuition, then the Federation will match that 50% discount off the student's membership dues.

The Federation's U.S. Military Membership Program also provides complimentary memberships to active duty military and their families.  You can read more about causes the Federation supports here.

Everyday Federation members actively pursue its Chartered purposes and live up to the IRS expectations for nonprofit membership organization.
