On behalf of the United States Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan Federation® Board of Directors, we are happy to provide an exceptional opportunity for you to join us at the 2026 USA MOO DUK KWAN NATIONAL FESTIVAL, in Salt Lake City, Utah from July 16-18, 2026.
The Federation, working in conjunction with the United States Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan Foundation®, is awarding five (5) fully paid scholarships for qualified candidates to attend the National Festival weekend (Weekend Package valued up to $425.)
Scholarship Application Process:
- Please write an essay (1,000 words or less) or record yourself, in uniform, discussing the following topic:
“Describe a challenge (financial, physical, or other hardship) you have overcome through your training in the Moo Duk Kwan® art of Soo Bahk Do® and how attending the National Festival will help you achieve your personal training goals.”
- Essays and/or video submissions must be submitted in electronic format to: sbdmdkfoundation@gmail.com
- Applicants are asked to refer at least one new student to their studio, subject to validation by their instructor.
- Please provide your name, phone number, email, and Fed ID # in the body of the email.
- Attach a .pdf file of the essay or URL link to the video uploaded to a Google Drive.
- Registration for the 2026 USA MOO DUK KWAN NATIONAL FESTIVAL is required to accept the award and cannot be used for any other event.
- If awarded a scholarship and you have already registered, you will receive a refund of your registration fees. Otherwise, a discount code will be issued to apply at check out.
