Dear Valued Members,
What an incredible gathering we shared! We are filled with gratitude as we look back on the National Festival in Salt Lake City. It was a true success and a wonderful celebration of our Moo Do spirit, community, and dedication.
We were thrilled to welcome 158 competitors and upwards of 200 members who came together to train, compete, and connect. The various seminars were clearly enjoyed by so many of you—your energy, focus, and enthusiasm lit up every session and made the event truly special.
An impactful highlight was our new streamlined schedule for competition day. It allowed us to finish earlier than expected, giving members and families precious extra time to socialize, relax, and enjoy the beautiful local attractions of Salt Lake City. These moments of camaraderie outside the Do Jang are just as meaningful as those inside it.

The competition came to a powerful close with a very energetic and inspiring Moo Do Sparring exchange among our Ko Dan Ja members. It was a moving demonstration of skill, spirit, and mutual respect that left everyone uplifted and motivated.
Please find the consolidated National Festival competition results HERE. Congratulations to all those who participated!
We are also delighted to share wonderful news on behalf of the Foundation. Thanks to your generous support, we raised $10,000 from the Silent Auction and $5,000 from the Golf Outing. These funds have been banked directly into the Foundation’s Scholarship funds, helping us continue to support and invest in our members’ growth for years to come. Thank you for giving so freely!
None of this would have been possible without the outstanding efforts of Region 8, whose hard work and hospitality produced such a successful event. We extend our deepest thanks to our local host Brian Corrales Sa Bom Nim for his warm welcome and leadership, and to Mary Kate Stinehour Sa Bom Nim, our tournament coordinator, for her exceptional preparation and seamless organization. Their dedication made all the difference.
As we carry this positive momentum forward, we are already excitedly looking ahead to our next gathering in November: Moment with the Masters and Ko Dan Ja Shim Sa in Minneapolis. Get ready for even more exciting seminars and enriching experiences designed especially for our membership. We can’t wait to train together again, continue growing, and create more lasting memories.
Thank you once more for being part of our community. Your passion, support, and presence make every event meaningful. Until we meet again in November—train hard, stay inspired, and keep the Moo Do spirit alive!
With warmest regards and sincere appreciation,
Jen Rupert, BOD Chair
