2025 MWM + KDJSS Recap | Golden Jubilee Initiatives Continue
2026 Outlook
Dear Members,
Thank you to everyone in our Moo Duk Kwan® family for making our recent event a success.
To all who traveled, helped behind the scenes, and participated on and off the Do Jang floor: thank you. Your presence and support truly made the difference demonstrating Moo Do in Action.
We would like to extend a special expression of gratitude to those who were vital in the planning and execution of this event from Region 2 and Region 3 – specifically, Russ Colston Sa Bom Nim and Tim Clyde Sa Bom Nim. From the early planning sessions through the end of the banquet, your energy, support and dedication were felt in every moment.
We were very fortunate to be able to provide medical support for all participants and candidates, especially given the many hours of training this event necessitates. We extend our sincere appreciation to Dr. Joseph Scholz Sa Bom Nim and Mr. Ken Campbell for generously donating their time and expertise to enhance the event and support everyone involved.
This year, more than 80 participants joined Moment with the Masters and the Ko Dan Ja Shim Sa week, including 24 candidates who trained diligently each day, steadily deepening their sense of group harmony as the week progressed.

To capture these moments, Erik Orella Sa Bom Nim graciously volunteered his time to film the first four days of the event. We sincerely thank him for his time and ultimately sharing highlights of the event with us in the coming months.
As we conclude our yearlong celebration of the U.S. Federation’s Golden Jubilee, we reflect not only on the renewed connections and accomplishments of this special year, but also on the work still ahead as we continue securing the next chapter of our organization for years to come. Our efforts remain focused on four key areas:
- Simplify – enhancing our online presence and refining processes
- Support – investing in School Owners and Instructors
- Innovate – developing the Member Portal and Continuing Education Program
- Celebrate – honoring our members and shared successes
By working in harmony as a unified, collaborative force, we are driving the necessary changes that will strengthen and sustain our Federation’s future.
Looking ahead to 2026, our main event schedule is already confirmed - we hope this allows everyone plenty of time to plan early so you can join us and reconnect.
- Virtual Nationals will occur in the first part of the year, similar to this year. Be on the lookout for more information in January 2026.
- National Festival will be held in Salt Lake City, Utah at the Hilton Salt Lake City Center from July 16th – 18th 2026.
- Moment with the Masters & Ko Dan Ja Shim Sa will be held in Minneapolis, Minnesota at the Double Tree by Hilton Minneapolis – Park Place from November 13th – 19th 2026.
Thank you again for your trust, support, and commitment. Together, by carrying strong Moo Do Jaseh and working in harmony, we will continue to honor our past while building a strong and vibrant future for our Federation.
On behalf of the Board of Directors and Technical Advisory Committee, we wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving, enjoyable Holiday Season and prosperous New Year!
