I train in Soo Bahk Do to live longer and meet good friends. I train in Soo Bahk Do because it is designed to build the body and mind up, not break it down. People who train to build up make good friends.

Training in Soo Bahk Do is opening your mind to many earthly experiences and elements that you typically will not encounter in every day life. I learn different cultures, ways of life, different ways to look at the world. My mind grows with my body to make me a better person, father and husband. Soo Bahk do allows me to grow and stay young.

Soo Bahk Do is a powerful way to achieve physical fitness, mental peace, and spiritual attunement. Our Master Jang is an incredible and profoundly inspiring teacher. Training in Soo Bahk Do keeps me healthy and strong in body, internally and spiritually.

The traditional Martial Art of Soo Bahk Do teaches me to have peace of mind and an ability to continue to challenge myself through constant training. I have developed lifetime friendships that began in the do-jang and continue into my daily life. These friendships, like the training, is unlike a a book picked up to educate yourself because it has no ending.

It's been a part of my life since I was 4 years old. It helped me become the person I am today. I own two local business and am currently giving back to the community what it has done for me.

I started Soo Bahk Do training when I was 12 years old. I had a difficult life and a desire to be able to protect myself. I learned how to set goals and accomplish them. I learned how to be confident, secure, and at peace with myself. I learned so much more than I can explain here. I am so very grateful to my instructor's, Kyo Sa Nim Beth Miekos, Sa Bom Nim Hanke, Kwan Jang Nim H.C. Hwang. Soo Bahk Do taught me to be a person of character.

Martial arts systems are not the same? We’re not all fight clubs and cage fighters. In fact, I love explaining to people how Soo Bahk Do emphasizes personal growth, and even integrates important life skills lessons along with the physical martial arts training and self defense lessons! It’s awesome to be able to teach a system that trains both the mind and body. It’s a great balance that is useful in so many ways.

Soo Bahk Do has taught me defense in a fun way. I personally enjoy it. It keeps me occupied. It raises my spirit and confidence. It has also raised my focus. These three things help me in school and sports.

Soo Bahk Do has been wonderful for the children involved in the program. It teaches the kids many things such as balance while moving, moving as a team, creating as a group, focus even when tired, respect for all teachers, and respect for people in general. I love the fact the kids learn the Korean lanquage, I think Soo Bahk Do has done a lot to increase the kid's confidence.

Soo Bahk Do has been a great fitness program for me. I feel healthier, more energetic, more alert and less stresses since I started training. I enjoy the do-jang members I train with who are positive and always welcoming of new people.
