As we move into this weekend of trick or treating and time change, I can’t help but get excited for the upcoming 2025 Moment with the Masters and Ko Dan Ja Shim Sa.
For one, I am attending as a candidate this year. From 8th Gup to 8th Dan, we all can relate to the heightened energy and anticipation that begins to build prior to a Shim Sa. There is really nothing like it! A week of training hard, cultivating relationships and leaving the real world suspended for a time.
Even greater though, the 2025 Ko Dan Ja Shim Sa marks the final event of this momentous Golden Jubilee year celebrating both the 80th Anniversary of the Moo Duk Kwan and the 50th Anniversary of the United States Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan Federation.
The cultivation of our Inside / Outside Philosophy at our National Festival as well as at the 80th Moo Duk Kwan Celebration in Seoul carry forth such positive energy, renewal, connection and potential. This final event provides us the opportunity to finish the year strong, to meet again, experiencing the training, knowledge and philosophy shared by Kwan Jang Nim H.C. Hwang and the USA Techical Advisory Committee.
It is our sincere hope to have so many of you join us for this culmination of our Golden Jubilee year.
