Outgoing TAC Chair Announces Official Positions And Transitions

Greetings everyone.

I hope that you are all in good health and spirits as we move into the summer months.  I’m looking forward to our upcoming Nationals and hope to see you all there.

We have all served as instructors and studio owners out of a passion for the art and the desire to prepare the next generation of leaders.  The same can be said for all our Federation officials.  The US Federation has gone through several generations of leadership on the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC).  It’s time for the next generation to take us forward.  I’m excited to announce several changes to TAC and other positions for your awareness and which are effective as of May 1, 2024.

Our World TAC representative, Daymon Kenyon, Sa Bom Nim has concluded two terms supporting Zone 2 the past 8 years and will be succeeded by myself.  I’m very thankful for all the leadership and guidance he has provided the US TAC and am appreciative of the opportunity Kwan Jang Nim H.C.Hwang has provided me by appointing me to serve on the World TAC.

Jeff Griggs Sa Bom Nim and Michael Zickafoose Sa Bom Nim will transition off of the US TAC after a long and successful service to the membership.  Josh Lockwood Sa Bom Nim will be succeeding me as TAC Chair.  We have three new TAC members joining the team:

  • Rodrigo Cruz, Sa Bom Nim
  • Joshua Duncan, Sa Bom Nim
  • Sue Fittanto, Sa Bom Nim

Kwan Jang Nim H.C. Hwang has made the following appointments and term synchronizations for the USA Technical Advisory Committee with all terms running four years from May 1, 2024:

  • TAC Chair:  Josh Lockwood, Sa Bom Nim
  • Ki Sul Bu: Jenn Gibbons, Sa Bom Nim & Brian Corrales, Sa Bom Nim
  • Digital Bu:  Frank Tsa, Sa Bom Nim & Rodrigo Cruz, Sa Bom Nim
  • Jin Heung Bu:  Cort Stinehour, Sa Bom Nim & Jared Rosenthal, Sa Bom Nim
  • Heng Jeung Bu:  Josh Duncan, Sa Bom Nim & Sue Fittanto, Sa Bom Nim

Backfill REX appointments are being evaluated now for the new TAC members. Communications will be sent by the TAC Chair when final appointments are made.

Please join me in thanking Kenyon Sa Bom Nim, Griggs Sa Bom Nim, and Zickafoose Sa Bom Nim, for their dedicated service to the members and extending a hearty congratulations to our new TAC Chair and TAC members!

Sincerely,

Craig Hays
