Greetings Certified Instructors and Future Instructors,
I hope this letter finds you well.
The growth and expansion of the Moo Duk Kwan® is a mission clearly expressed in the U.S. Federation Charter & Bylaws. With that in mind, Kwan Jang Nim will be announcing an initiative in the coming weeks to promote future school ownership. In conjunction with Kwan Jang Nim’s initiative the Board has formed the “National School Development Committee” (NSDC) to seek out potential future school owners and to actively assist Certified Instructors with opening a school or Certified Teaching Program (CTP).
The vision of the NSDC is to offer hands-on assistance for potential future Certified School Owners and future Certified Instructors by providing advice and encouragement where needed. The NSDC recognizes that opening a school or CTP can be a daunting endeavor due to the challenges of choosing a location, paying rent, attracting students, obtaining insurance, and the list goes on. The NSDC has been created to provide support in overcoming these challenges.
As a Certified Instructor, your value to the future of the Soo Bahk Do® martial art system, the Moo Duk Kwan® organization and the U.S. Federation cannot be overstated. The passion you bring to your students is the reason the Moo Duk Kwan® continues to thrive. But the job is not done.
We all benefit when the Moo Duk Kwan® organization is stronger and it gets stronger when we actively recruit more members. We gain more members when we have more schools. Reaching out to engage prospective students in new communities and providing Moo Duk Kwan® instruction and certified schools in those areas is critical to growing U.S. Federation membership and thus the Moo Duk Kwan®.
If you, or someone you know, have ever considered school ownership please reach out to the NSDC. If you are already a school owner, you are the resource that can help bring success within reach for new school owners.
